Split has a great specialty coffee scene so if you’re looking for a place to work whilst enjoying a great cup of specialty coffee, here is our pick of the best laptop-friendly cafés for working in Split. All the advantages of a coworking space but with delicious coffee too. What’s not to love?

If you’re just looking for somewhere to hang out and grab a great coffee, check our other blog article for 5 Best Specialty Coffee Shops in Split.

But if you’re looking for a laptop-friendly coffee shop to work from, let’s get to it.

D16 Coffee, Dominisova Ulica

The original site of D16 Coffee is probably the most popular laptop-friendly café in Split.

It’s easy to see why; They have a whole room set up just across the street from the coffee shop where you can take your coffee and work. You won’t need to feel awkward about pulling your laptop out here — the whole room is usually filled with people tapping away, so it feels almost like a coworking space. The wifi is reliable and the coffee (sourced from their own roastery) is good.

D16 is top rated for their Iced Latte on Kava, so grab a cold one and get to work.

Tinel Specialty Coffee Shop, Križeva Ulica

Tinel is small so we always take care not to linger too long over each coffee while working here, especially at weekends when they can have a line of people eager for coffee. But head barista Matej Šerer makes such damn good coffee that it’s one of our favorite places to smash out a bit of work, even if we know we can’t stay all day.

There’s always a new blend to try, with beans coming from several top roasters including Slovenia’s Stow and Croatia’s Kava Family.

Tinel’s first branch was in nearby Trogir so be sure to try one of their Rafioli cookies too — a Trogir specialty.

Cookie Lab, Put Firula

Cookie Lab — situated just next to Split’s most famous beach, Bačvice — is a great spot if you want to avoid the crowds in the old town.

Their coffee is sourced from one of Croatia’s top roasters, Cogito, and if you need a sweet treat to give you energy for working they have superb cakes, pastries and (of course) cookies.

The best seats in the house are on the bench in the window, with a gorgeous view of the clear blue Adriatic sea through the pine trees. Somehow plowing through today’s todo list doesn’t feel like such a chore when looking out at that view.
